Steep Walking — Deba, Gipuzkoa

A 14 mile day, although my Apple Health shows 16 - the climbs and descents are so steep, you can’t count on your Apple Watch to get it right! It certainly feels like more, but being tired doesn’t make it true.

Today was without a doubt the steepest descent I’ve ever walked, anywhere. It was a gloriously sunny day filled with vineyards and ocean views. Every day I have thought to myself, if this is all I get to see of the Norte, I will not leave disappointed. It is a beautiful walk - incredibly challenging, but so worth the work.
